Junior Wins Region  Race at Nashville!!

Junior drove his way to victory yesterday in the JR Novice division of the QMA Regional Fall Blast race held at the Music City Speedway in Hermitage,TN.  Junior qualified 2nd fastest and started in 3rd after the first four cars in each class were inverted for the feature. "We really hadn't had our car as fast as it could've been for the past couple of races," said his handler and Pa. "We just couldn't seem to hit the right combination and get everything working together the way it should. "We made several changes as we ran our pre race routine Friday and when he went out to practice Friday evening I knew we were going to be strong." As the green flag waved Junior made his way around Katie Rutledge who was starting in 2nd place. Then several laps later he passed Addison Cravenho for the lead and never looked back. There was a red flag in the race when Damon McQuisten got together with another driver and flipped over. After being checked Damon went on to finish the race. As the green flag fell for the last time, Junior shot ahead of the field and stayed there until the checkered flag fell." It's very cool to watch him win!" said his Pa. "But it's equally as cool to watch Junior and the kids he races against get out of those cars, congratulate one another and leave the competitiveness on the track as they have a really good time playing together. There are a whole lot of us grownups who could learn a great deal from these little racers."

Junior Finishes Fifth last Saturday. The good news was nobody could pass us. The bad news was we couldn't pass anybody.

Junior finished 3rd In the feature race Saturday at the Music City Speedway in Nashville, TN. "Considering that he started in 6th and the race was only 30 laps I feel that he did very well," said his Pa/handler Ken Jenkins. "We were chasing the other 2 cars down through lapped traffic and just ran out of time."
